Volvo Rents originally presented the "Hard Hat Comedy Show" in Asheville, NC at the Diana Wortham Theater. Over 500 people turned out to enjoy some "construction comedy" to benefit the Manna Food Bank.

I typically perform in a suit, but wanted a more down-to-earth look to fit the construction theme. And I should warn you, if you search Google for images of "construction workers", you'll get some pretty disturbing results. Ditching that research, I just headed over to Sears to pick up a flannel shirt. It did the trick.
I was tapped to emcee the event, due in part to my heavy rotation on Blue Collar Radio, I'm no "construction comedian", but I figured my recent hernia surgery would be good relatable material for construction workers. I also brought down the house with my classic bit on haunted mobile homes.
Has it been too long since you've heard the dulcet tones of my voice over the airwaves? Well, power up the radio 'cause I'm coming to a dial near you. Listen intently as I promote my new Funny Employee Awards eBook. I'll be sharing funny office stories, holiday cost-cutting tips, and tons of award ideas. Don't miss it!
All times listed are Eastern Standard Time (EST). Taped interviews will air at a later date.
